I've been a professional stage actor for over 25 years, creating a wide range of characters in over 100 productions. While I tend to play "character" roles, I strive to work autobiographically whenever possible. I have a B.A. in Theater from Bates College and an M.F.A. in Acting from the University of Washington. I also do camera work.

A 25 year veteran of the Seattle theatre scene, I've done well over 100 shows, working venues large and small, indoors and out. I’ve performed a lot of Shakespeare, countless fringe shows, and a number of original literary adaptations.
While I tend to play character roles, and love doing mask work, I try to work autobiographically whenever possible.
I have a B.A in Theater from Bates College, and an M.F.A. in acting from the University of Washington, where I trained with Jack Clay. Like a lot of American actors, my training is Stanislavsky based, with a little bit of everything else sprinkled in. I'm a member of Actors Equity and Theatre Puget Sound.
I also do camera work, and recently appeared on NBC's Grimm Please contact Topo Swope if interested.
"Lapan is especially strong, bearing a resonant voice honed by years of Shakespeare roles, and a restrained but palpable emotionality."
- Misha Berson, from Seattle Times review of Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol at Seattle Public Theatre
